Class Instructors

Canine Sports Academy has brought together a well-rounded group
of instructors.  Below are the biographies of the instructors who
are teaching our classes.
Kathy Rasmussen is the person who envisioned and
developed the Canine Sports  Academy. She has over forty
years experience in the sport of dogs having competed in
conformation, obedience, rally obedience and agility. She
welcomes you all to come and enjoy the facility. She is a
certified Master Trainer of Canine Fitness and a Certified Trick
Dog Instructor.
Kari Smith - is a 2nd generation dog show enthusiast.   
She started showing in JR  Showmanship and for the past
10+   years has been professionally handling show dogs for
clients.  She has finished over 100 champions, has wins at
Specialty shows, as well as at the group and breed levels.  
She mentors new  people in the sport of dog shows and looks
forward to the success of  Canine Sports Academy. She has
also put obedience and rally titles on her dogs.   
Canine Sports Academy
Sandy Ludwig started training and showing obedience
with German Shepard dogs in 1985. She was an active member
of the Cape Fear dog Training Club in Fayetteville, North Carolina
for 7 years.  She taught all levels of obedience from Novice to
Utility and served as training director for 6 of those 7 years. After
moving to Oklahoma in 1992 she continued to show obedience
and became involved with Therapy Dog International. She judged
fun matches and administered the AKC Canine Good Citizen test
in Oklahoma for the Oklahoma German Shepard Club in the mid
1990s. After a 6 year hiatus from showing while completing a
PhD from the University of Oklahoma in Special Education, Dr.
Ludwig has been showing her GSD Allie in Rally and Obedience.
She has put several obedience titles and an RAE title on her
GSD, Allie. She is currently competing in Rally with Bandit
(pictured). She is a CGC Evaluator.

Susan Park
Susan worked her dogs in numerous events
from conformation to obedience and rally.  
She had a great personality and helped new
people feel comfortable training her dogs.  
She passed away quite suddenly and  we  
miss her dearly. Susan was the sister of
Sandy Ludwig.

Dennis Gorman our TDAA Secretary extrodinair!
Le Cambell is a Norman, OK native. She has had dogs all her
life. Now a Master Trainer in Canine Fitness and CTDI (Trick Dog
Instructor) she has been active in Flyball and Luring with her dogs.
She currently has two dogs, Kiwi and JJ (pictured).  Le assists
with our Basic I classes and agility. She also is working with our
fitness program.  She will be assisting us in safer training of our
performance dogs (agility, flyball, etc). She is an AKC CGC
Heather Rhodes comes to us as a graduate of the Animal
Behavior College. She did her internship here at CSA, has
been with us over four years and now  teaches our puppy &
Basic I obediences classes. She is a Certified Dog Trainer
(CDT) and CGC/S.T.A.R puppy evaluator. Heather has a
German Shepherd named Cas.  She hails from Henderson,
NV. She has experience in protection training with Cas.
DeAnn Mobley - Came to us Jan 2018 as
a student with the Animal Behavior College.
She has since graduated with honors. We
immediately welcomed her on board. She's
been a wonderful addition to our staff
